Design, develop, and implement quality control assurance and testing methodologies to ensure the quality and functionality of the company’s proprietary software, platforms and products. Examine the existing quality assurance procedures and develop new tests to identify the software issues throughout the Software Development Life Cycle. Perform business process analysis, implementation process mapping, functional requirement analysis, and pre-production testing. Design and develop comprehensive testing plans and schedules encompassing multiple applications of varying topologies including mainframe, client servers, web services, and middleware systems. Define and track quality assurance metrics including defects, defect counts, and test results. Execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Test (UAT) deliverables using industry standard software. Review test documentation to ensure full testing coverage, analyze test results to determine if software meets business and quality assurance requirements, and create reports on how to resolve complex errors and improve overall software quality and client satisfaction. Analyze the overall software development and testing process within the company and identify ways to increase efficiency, productivity, and improve software quality. Report problems and inefficiencies in the software development process to management and suggest solutions to maximize operational effectiveness.
The position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related IT position. Experience gained prior to the Master’s degree is also acceptable. The position requires knowledge in MySQL, Oracle 10G, PL/SL, Unix, Shell Scripting, WINSCP, PUTTY, TOAD, REDWOOD.
